How to Make Your Own Temporary Tattoo Kit
Kids love temporary tattoos, but finding the exact image your child wants can be a discouraging task. The good news is that you can quit looking. Making temporary tattoos is a fun and easy do-it-yourself project. Specialty computer paper is readily available for this purpose. Try finding it at your local craft store or on one of the many Internet sites that specialize in water slide tattoos, decals or paper for computer crafts. Your kids will get a tattoo and have fun creating it.

1
Choose an image. Look for clip art in your computer graphics program, download some from a website that specializes in clip art or scan your own design into your computer. Be careful to choose clearly defined images, as images with small details will not transfer well.
-
2
Personalize the tattoo by adding the child's name or other text to your graphic. When you are satisfied with the image, resize and mirror it.
-
-
3
Print the image to the tattoo paper, following the instructions provided with the paper. Run one sheet through your printer at a time, being careful not to bend or fold the paper.
-
4
Wait for your water slide tattoo paper to dry thoroughly before you apply the adhesive sheet provided to the printed side of the paper.
-
