How to Change Conversion Settings From Adobe PDF to Tagged PDF
Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format created by Adobe Systems for creating self-contained documents that can be easily distributed and shared. A "tagged" PDF contains additional information ("tags") describing the document structure. Tagged PDFs can be reflowed to fit different screen sizes, such as mobile computing devices. Content creators often use tagged PDFs to enhance document accessibility for users with special needs. Tagged PDFs can be more easily read using special screen reader devices and software used by people with disabilities. "Change Conversion settings" is a Microsoft Office menu item for setting Adobe Acrobat conversion of Office documents to PDF.

Tips & Warnings
Create your PDF using the "Convert to PDF" option instead of printing to the Adobe PDF printer. "Convert to PDF" captures and tags document structure. The PDF printer is a generic PDF creation tool designed to allow any software to generate PDFs. Many software applications, such as OpenOffice Writer and Adobe Framemaker, have built-in PDF converters optimized for that software's file structure, and may produce better results than the PDF printer.
