How to Create a New AOL Mail Account

Create a new AOL Mail account to use AIM and AOL Email.

Some of the benefits of having an AOL Mail account include access to AOL Email and AOL Mobile, which allows you to send email to your AOL Email contacts. In addition, an AOL Mail account allows you to create multiple screen names. The use of multiple screen names is helpful in ensuring your privacy. AOL Mail is free to the public; an AOL account is not required to sign up for AOL Mail.

Instructions

1. Visit the AOL Mail homepage to create a new email address. For the address, see the "Resources" section of this page.

2. Complete the online form under the "Create a Free Email Address" section and then enter the characters displayed in the box located at the bottom of the page.

3. Read the Terms of Service information; if you agree to the terms, click the "Submit" button. A new page confirming that you have created your AOL Mail account successfully will appear.
