Acne can be annoying, stubborn and difficult to get rid of. Expensive acne treatment systems and cleansers may be impractical, and their results are never guaranteed. Use yogurt to make inexpensive and easy-to-make antibacterial acne soap at home. Plain white yogurt has antibacterial properties and contains cleansing lactic acid and zinc. It is great for promoting healthy and clear skin. For the most natural ingredients, use organic yogurt.

Things You'll Need

  • Plain yogurt
  • Organic honey
  • Oatmeal (slow-cook)
  • Blueberries or papaya

Mix 1 cup of plain yogurt with 1 tbsp. of organic honey. Honey is healing, soothing and cleansing to the skin. This will be the base of your cleanser.

Add 1/2 cup oatmeal to the yogurt and honey mixture. Make sure that the oatmeal is not instant or it will dissolve too quickly. Oatmeal will add a soft exfoliant to the cleanser. It will gently remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin and help unclog pores.

Add 1/2 cup of blended blueberries or papaya, if desired. Papaya chemically exfoliates skin and cleanses it, and blueberries are a strong antioxidant. They will help fight the harmful effects of the environment on your skin.

Mix all the ingredients to form a creamy soap. Apply it to your face twice a day, and massage it into your skin for two minutes. Rinse with cool water and proceed with your daily skincare routine.
