How to Apply for a KFC Franchise Restaurant

A franchise is a business agreement/license that allows an individual to run a business under a specific brand, such as KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken), in a given area. Franchising can be an effective approach to starting a business since it allows a business owner to benefit from the reputation associated with a particular brand name. Depending on the specific brand name, this approach could translate into a profitable source of income for a business owner. The process of applying for a franchise may vary depending on the brand. Nonetheless, applying for a franchise is not a difficult process.

Instructions

1. Visit the homepage of Yum Franchising to apply for a KFC franchise. To go to this page, see the Resource section. Yum Franchising is a company that assists individuals interested in operating under brands such as Pizza Hut, KFC, Long John Silver's, A&W, and Taco Bell by processing and approving their applications if they meet certain requirements depending on the brand they are interested in.

2. Click on the red circle containing "Apply Online Today," located on the far right of the phrase "Yum! Brands," and read the Yum Franchising disclaimer. If you agree with the disclaimer, select the "Click here to accept these terms" button. You will be redirected to another page containing a list of brands to choose from.

3. Select the KFC brand by clicking on the KFC logo, and then provide your information in the fields provided. Be sure that you provide a reliable email address as you will be sent an email containing a link to the franchise application.

4. Receive an email from Yum Franchising, follow the link to the application, and then complete and submit the franchise application. Upon completing the application, wait for about 3 to 5 business days to hear back from Yum Franchising regarding your application. Note that you may be required to provide various supporting documents before your application is approved.
