How to Make Peach and Plum Soap
Peach and plum soap is an all-natural, easy-to-prepare alternative to expensive, chemical-laden soaps sold in markets and retail stores. Peach and plum body soap is especially good for those with dry skin, as the properties of fruits can help add needed oils and reduce redness without creating excess sebum buildup. Things You'll Need
- Sharp knife
- Glycerin soap bar (1 lb.)
- Heat-proof measuring cup
- Large saucepan
- 1/4 tsp. peach essential oil
- 1/4 tsp. plum essential oil
- 1/4 tsp. vegetable glycerin
- 1/4 tsp. vitamin E cream
- Glass stirrer
- Soap bar mold

Using a sharp knife, cut the glycerin soap into chunks and place the pieces in the heat-proof measuring cup.

Fill a large saucepan halfway with water. Put the heat-proof measuring cup into the large saucepan and heat it over low heat for 12 to 14 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the peach and plum essential oils, vegetable glycerin and vitamin E cream. Stir the mixture with a glass stirrer for 45 to 60 seconds or until the mixture begins to thicken just slightly.

Pour the liquid soap into the soap bar mold. Leave the soap to set for six to eight hours in a cool, dark place without disturbing it.

Remove the soap from the soap bar mold and store in a cool, dry place until you are ready to use it.

Tips & Warnings
You can dye the soap different colors if you wish, but you should avoid chemical colorants, as they may irritate the skin. Natural plant-based food coloring works best.
