Premiere Pro is a professional-grade video editing software application created by Adobe Systems. Included as part of the Adobe Creative Suite, the program provides tools to help authors in the editing of high quality video. Premiere Pro also offers sound mixing tools and supports a wide range of third-party plug-ins that extend its functionality. Exporting a completed movie from the program is an easy task once you understand the proper commands.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your movie project in Adobe Premiere Pro.

    • 2

Click "File" in the top menu bar and then select "Export." Choose the "Adobe Media Encoder" option from the resulting sub-menu.

    • 3

Select your desired movie format by selecting it from the "Format" drop-down menu at the top-right corner of the Export Settings dialog box. Premiere Pro offers export to the Windows Media, Real Player, Flash, QuickTime and MPEG formats.

Specify any additional export options within the Export Settings dialog box and then click "OK." Give your movie file a name, choose your desired save location, and then select "Save."

Tips & Warnings

  • To export movies at a very high level of quality, select "Movie" from the Export sub-menu instead of "Adobe Media Encoder" and follow the resulting prompts. This option saves your movie in the large, uncompressed AVI format.
