Update Your Garmin Nuvi 205W

Garmin produces some of the most-used portable GPS devices. One of their most popular models is the Nuvi 205W. This portable device comes with all the advanced navigation features, and is also easy to keep up-to-date. Garmin provides users with the WebUpdater software, which allows them to conveniently update any Garmin device just by plugging it into a computer.

• Garmin USB cable

Instructions

1. Download and install WebUpdater from Garmin. (See Resources for direct link.) Once you click on the download link, you will select "Run" and follow the rest of the installation prompts to properly install it on your computer.

2. Plug your GPS into the computer with the USB sync cable that came with it. (If you no longer have your USB cable, you can purchase a replacement at the Garmin store.)

3. Open WebUpdater.

4. Select "Next" on the WebUpdater Wizard.

5. Select "Find Device," and then click on "Next" again to update the unit software on your device.
