Make an eBay thank you note to enclose with items you sell.

Active sellers on eBay are often quite conscious of their feedback ratings. These ratings represent a seller's success on eBay and potential customers usually review feedback before committing to a purchase. When you make an eBay sale, consider enclosing an eBay thank you note to thank your buyer for the purchase. In the note, you can also encourage the buyer to leave you feedback and advise the buyer of how to contact you with purchase problems.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the graphics program and open a new background layer that is 8.5 inches wide and 11 inches tall. Fill in the color of this background layer with the "Flood Fill" tool, making it a light color (white or cream) for best results.

    • 2

Select the "Pen Tool" above the workspace and use it to draw straight lines on the background layer to divide the background layer into thank you cards you will create. Click your mouse once at the center top of the layer and click your mouse again once at the center bottom of the layer to make one vertical line down the center of the layer. Click your mouse once approximately one-third of the way down the layer from the top at the left edge and click your mouse again directly across from this point at the right edge to make a horizontal line. Make two more horizontal lines in the same fashion and you will have divided your background layer into six equal parts for creating your small thank you notes.

    • 3

Click the "Font Tool" above the workspace. Choose a font, a font color and a font size and click the mouse inside the first thank you card area to begin adding text to your card. Start with a large "Thank You" at the top of this card space.

    • 4

Reduce the font size by about half and click your mouse under the large "Thank You." Enter a short message that tells the buyer you hope everything is perfect with the item. Ask the buyer to consider leaving you positive feedback. Inform the buyer that you are willing to help if there are any problems. Include your eBay user name and your email address at the bottom of the card. Click "Enter" to place this message on the card.

    • 5

Click "Layers" at the top of the workspace and select "Duplicate" to duplicate this text message. Use the "Move Tool" to grasp the duplicate message and drag it over to the second card space on the other half of the background layer. Duplicate the text message again and move it down to the card space below. Duplicate the text message three more times and fill every card space with the same message.

    • 6

Proofread your thank you cards. If everything is satisfactory, save the file on your hard drive.

    • 7

Load a sheet of card stock into your printer and print the thank you cards with your printer. Cut apart the thank you notes with the scissors and enclose a thank you card with every item you ship.
