How to View PDF Files With Adobe Acrobat 9 Plugins in Firefox 3 thumbnail
Viewing PDF files with Adobe Acrobat 9 and Firefox 3 is simple.

Adobe Acrobat Reader 9, a PDF viewer, has a convenient plug-in for Firefox 3, a Web browser. The plug-in works behind the scenes when you click a link to a PDF file from within Firefox. When you are using Firefox after installing the plug-in, your PDFs will open automatically in Adobe Reader.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your Firefox browser and go to the Firefox download page. (See "Resources.")

    • 2

Click the green "Download Now" button in the Adobe Reader section. Choose your operating system and click the "Continue" button.

    • 3

Click the "Download" button. A dialog box will appear with an "Install Now" button. Click this button.

    • 4

Click the "Restart Firefox" button. When you find a link to a PDF you want to view, just click it and it will open in Adobe Reader.

    • 5

Open your Firefox browser and go to the Sample PDF site. (See "Resources.") Click the "Click here to test your PDF software" button to test your Adobe Reader.
