How Do I Clean & Lubricate the Car Door Window?
Normal wear and tear is common in vehicles. Minor repair and maintenance can be performed by even the novice driver. A window that is sticking can easily be fixed with a little lubricant sprayed in the correct place. Furthermore, a dirty window can be cleaned and made streak free with relative ease. All it takes is some elbow grease and little time.

Cleaning A Car Door Window
-
1
Wipe down the inside of the car window with a soft damp cloth.
-
2
Fold a surgical towel so that it measures 8 inches by 8 inches. Surgical towels are both 100% cotton and lint free, which makes them absorbent without leaving residue behind.
-
-
3
Spray enough window cleaner so that it covers the glass completely.
-
4
Start at the four corners of the window and wipe with the surgical towel. Continue wiping the rest of the window in a back and forth motion.
-
5
Buff the window with a waffle weave microfiber towel. It is best to buff the window when there is still some moisture remaining on the glass. Buffing the window will help ensure that the glass is as streak free as possible.
Lubricating A Car Door Window
-
6
Remove the car door panel beneath the window. Using a flathead screwdriver, gently pop the clips off of the door. Be careful not to break the clips when removing them.
-
7
Locate the window track. The track allows the window to slide up and down easily.
-
8
Lubricate the track with WD-40. Spray the window track liberally with the lubricant.
-
9
Roll the window up and down repeatedly to evenly distribute the lubrication on the track.
-
10
Replace the door panel and pop the clips back into place.
