Plug and play games connect to a TV with standard RCA cables.

Plug and play TV games are self-contained gaming consoles with the controllers, game software and connector cables built into one unit. Typically battery-powered, the device connects to a set of RCA inputs on the TV with three standard composite cables. The systems are portable and inexpensive, which make them useful when traveling with children since the games connect to virtually any TV.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the game console upside-down and remove the battery cover. Some covers may require a screwdriver.

    • 2

Install fresh batteries in the game console and replace the battery cover. Many plug and play TV games use three AA-size batteries.

    • 3

Insert the yellow, white and red RCA plugs on the cables from the video game into a set of color-matching AV IN jacks on the TV. Most TV sets are equipped with at least three sets of AV jacks for connecting different types of equipment.

    • 4

Turn on the TV and the game console, which typically has a slide switch on the top control panel, then press the "Input" button on the TV remote until the signal from the game console appears on the screen.

Tips & Warnings

  • The "Input" button on your remote may be called something else, such as "TV/VCR."

  • Turn off the TV while connecting the video game.
