How to Change the Paper Size for a Print Job

You can change the paper size for a print job. This will allow you to print on paper of different sizes, including envelopes and index cards. These instructions should work for most Windows applications.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Open the File menu and click Print.

  2. Step 2

    Click on Properties.

  3. Step 3

    Click the Settings tab.

  4. Step 4

    Click on Paper Size. A list of paper sizes will appear.

  5. Step 5

    Select the size you want.

  6. Step 6

    If none of the selections are suitable, select Custom. A box will appear inviting you to set your own measurements. Enter the width and length that you want.

  7. Step 7

    Click OK.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can purchase paper products with matching software applications that are specifically designed to simplify the layout and printing of items such as business cards, brochures, postcards, labels for envelopes, CD-ROMs and floppy disks.
  • Not all printers will accommodate all sizes of paper. Your choices are limited to the sizes your printer can handle.
