How to Convert .Img to Bin/Cue Nero

How to Convert .Img to Bin/Cue Nero thumbnail
Convert your disc images with Nero.

Nero is the general name for a number of audio and video recoding and compression programs. Several Nero programs are used for different processes; in this case, you will need to purchase Nero Burning Rom or download a free trial. The latest version of this program can rip and burn to and from CDs, DVDs and Blu-Rays, as well as other .img file types, since these are simply disk images of entire file structures. You may want to convert your disk images to .bin or .cue files for storing on your computer or for burning onto a CD or DVD.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and install the latest version of Nero Burning Rom. Agree to the terms of use and open the program. If a box titled "New Compilation" opens, close it, and let Nero load.

    • 2

Click "Recorder" at the top of your menu and select "Burn Image." In the new dialogue box that appears, direct your computer to the .img file you want converted and click "Open."

    • 3

Insert a blank CD or DVD when prompted (you will need a blank DVD if your .img file is larger than 800MB). In the Burn Compilation window, enable the "Write" option and select a disc write speed, according to the options Nero provides. (Nero automatically burns .bin/.cue files on CDs or DVDs.) Click "Burn" to begin the conversion process.

Tips & Warnings

  • Please allow several minutes for conversion to complete. The amount of time it takes depends on the size of your image file and the speed at which you are writing the data to disc.
