Instructions

    • 1

Lay the moulding on a solid surface with the outside face up.

    • 2

Start at one end and lightly run the sanding sponge along the grain of the molding. Do not use a coarse grit or go against the grain. Both can damage the molding.

    • 3

After two to three passes, gently blow off the wood dust and continue sanding.

    • 4

Use the tack cloth to gently wash off any remaining wood dust. You should be able to run your fingers over the molding without feeling rough spots. If rough spots still exist, continue gently sanding that area.

Tips & Warnings

  • Lightly sanding the molding between coatings of varnish/ stain is generally required to create a uniform stain pattern.
