How to Change Low Resolution Pictures to High Resolution Pictures
Have you ever tried to blow up a small picture to a large one only to find that the picture blurs? Changing low resolution pictures to high resolution pictures isn't always the easiest of tasks. If you try to make a huge resolution transition, then oftentimes your picture will blur way too much to work with, but with certain transitions the picture can still be worked with to make it still look good with its higher resolution. If you want to change low resolution pictures to high resolution pictures, you can do so with a little practice.

1
Open your image editing software. Open the low resolution picture that you want to convert to a high resolution picture.
-
2
Determine what size you would like your high resolution picture to be. If you're making the picture for a computer desktop, you might consider a resolution of 800 X600 pixels. Resize the picture through your software's resize function.

3
Utilize the sharpen tool provided by your software to sharpen the picture because when you go from a low resolution picture to a high resolution one, the picture tends to blur. Sharpening it will reduce the fuzziness. Also use the un-sharpen feature to control the sharpening because too much sharpening can reduce the quality as well. Save your picture when you are done.

4
Check the "Preserve Aspect Ratio" option to keep your image from becoming even blurrier than it already will when your change the resolution from low to high.
-
5
Use photo effects on your picture to mask blurriness if you wish. For instance, adding a raindrop or bubble effect to your larger picture will mask the blurriness as will pixelizing it, or adjusting the contrast, color or texture effects.
