How to Download Firefox for Mac

Firefox is one of the most popular Web browsers, as of 2010. It is a cross-platform browser available for Mac computers. Like other Web browsers, it enables you to browse the Internet and search for content. Firefox also includes tools such as one-click bookmarking, integrated search engines, and privacy buttons to clear browser history. Firefox is free and installs quickly and easily on your Mac computer.

Instructions

1. Go to the Firefox download page and click "Download." This launches the download tool. The download tool downloads the Firefox installation file to the "Downloads" folder.

2. Double-click the Firefox installation file when the download completes. You will see the Firefox icon and the "Applications" folder on the installation window. Drag the Firefox icon to the "Applications" folder to install the web browser on your computer.

3. Click the "Finder" icon on the dock to launch the Finder window when you complete the installation. Click the drop-down arrow next to "Devices," and click "Macintosh HD." You should see a list of folders. Double-click the "Applications" folder. You should see a list of the programs installed on your computer. Locate the "Firefox" icon and drag it from the Applications folder to the dock. Click the Firefox icon on the dock anytime you want to use your Web browser.
