How to Copy Graphics Using Adobe Reader 8

Adobe Reader 8 allows users to view and print files created in the Portable Document Format (PDF). The Reader program is offered free of charge by Adobe Systems. PDF files and Adobe Reader have become popular in recent years because they allow documents to be shared easily across different operating systems and platforms, while retaining the precise formatting designed by their authors. Copying graphics from PDF files using Adobe Reader 8 is a quick and easy process.

Instructions

1. Open Adobe Reader 8. The program is most commonly accessed by clicking the Windows "Start" button and selecting "Programs," "Adobe" and then "Adobe Reader 8."

2. Open your PDF file. Click "File" at the menu near the top of the screen, then select "Open." Locate a PDF file, then double-click its icon to open it.

3. Activate the Select Tool. Right-click anywhere within the Adobe Reader screen and click "Select Tool."

4. Locate the graphic you want to copy. Click on the image once to highlight it.

5. Copy the graphic by clicking "Edit" in the top menu and selecting "Copy File to Clipboard." With this, you should have a copy of the graphic.
