If you notice that the shower stall is worn and cracked, its probably time to make some repairs. Does this Spark an idea?

-
3
Sand down any areas with cracks using 120-grit sandpaper. Then use 240-grit and finally 400-grit sandpaper.
-
4
Apply a two-part epoxy to any deeper cracks. Use products that are pre-mixed and come in the tube, ready to squeeze out. Let the area thoroughly dry for two to three hours and don't get the floor wet.
-
5
Separate the components from the shower and tub repair kit. The kit usually contains a spray hardener, a spray catalyst and sometimes a buffing pad.
-
6
Coat the entire shower floor or wall with the hardener spray, slightly overlapping coats as you go. Let dry for several hours and don't get wet.
-
7
Apply the catalyst spray to the entire surface of the shower, just like you did with the hardener. After the first coat is dry, use the buffing pad to slightly rough up the new finish and then spray on another coat of catalyst spray. The second coat will make your shower base shine like new.

For very deep cracks or if you know water damage has already occurred to the floor below the shower base, you may need a professional contractor to help you with the repairs.
