How Do I Brighten the Screen With an Acer 5315 Notebook?

The Acer series of Notebook computers are widely known for their economical features and budget-friendly price point. In addition to these selling points, Acer computers also have an adjustable brightness setting that allows users to either dim their monitor for maximum power efficiency or brighten it for the best visual quality. Brightening the screen on an Acer 5315 takes only a few seconds.

Instructions

1. Power on your screen and pull up an image or web page that will help you decide on an optimum brightness setting. This can be a frequented website or an image that is typical of what is normally displayed on the computer.

2. Press and hold the "Fn" key on your computer. This small blue button is located between the "Windows" menu button and the "Ctrl" button.

3. Press the right arrow key. Your screen will brighten one step every time you press the right arrow key.

Tips & Warnings

• If you decide you want to lower the brightness setting, simply hold the "Fn" button and press the left arrow key. The brightness will lower one step every time the left arrow key is pressed.
