If you've ever ordered lobster in a restaurant, you may have noticed that the price for the lobster is usually quoted on the menu at the market price. The market price, like any other good or delicacy, has a price which varies with supply and demand. As such, the market price of lobster varies according to where you are. Does this Spark an idea?

      Go to the U.S National Marine Fisheries Service Office of Science & Technology website.

      Select "Monthly Imports of Selected Fishery Products" under Headquarter Reports.

      Find market prices for Lobster. These prices are usually around two months old, and can be delayed in the winter months.

      Call a local grocery store which sells lobster. Ask them for a price on the current price per pound and compare to the prices published by the National Marine Fisheries Service Office of Science & Technology (NMFS). The price listed by the NMFS will usually be slightly lower.
