How to Decorate a Sports Bar
Designate one room in your home to serve as your own personal sports bar. You can create a comfortable place that will have your friends begging to come watch the game in your sports bar. It's also a safe place to have a drink during the game without having to worry about a designated driver. The best part about having your own sports bar is you get to decorate it the way you want it.

1
Build or set up a bar in one large corner of the room. The bar area should include a refrigerator, such as a mini-fridge, to keep water, soda and beer cold. If possible, include a small sink and ice-maker.
-
2
Spruce up your floor with a sports-themed rug. For example, a large carpet that resembles a baseball diamond or football field would be appropriate.
-
-
3
Install TVs around the room. The largest TV will serve as a focus area. For example, center a 42-inch (or larger) flat-screen TV on one wall. Put a couple of smaller TVs, such as 19-inch flat-screens, in the room so the game can be seen from any seat, or so multiple games can be watched at the same time.
-
4
Place bar stools around the bar. Add a sofa and chairs around the room in positions that provide a clear view of at least one TV. Include end tables so your guests have a place to put their refreshments.
-
5
Hang a neon bar sign on the wall.
-
6
Hang a mirror behind the bar. Mirrors reflect light and can help make your sports bar appear larger while maintaining a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
-
7
Place or hang stemware and bottles in front of the mirror. The mirror will make your supplies look more plentiful and impressive.
-
8
Place serving bowls and coasters on the bar and tables. Keeping the serving dishes handy will allow you to quickly fill them with chips, pretzels or other snacks.
-
9
Hang posters of your favorite players or teams, framed jerseys and league pennants on the wall.
-
10
Put a poker table, air hockey game, Foosball or pool table in a place where you have extra space.

Tips & Warnings
Decorative details go a long way. For example, if you're concentrating on baseball, fill a large glass vase or jar with baseballs for additional decoration on the bar.
Spruce up your bar by placing various football jerseys over the backs of the stools.
If you're installing new flooring, keep in mind that wood or tile floors are easier to clean.
Consider installing a ceiling fan to keep the room cool.
