How to Upgrade the Memory on an Acer 5315
The Acer 5315 is part of the Aspire Notebook line of computers. This notebook comes with an expansion slot for memory upgrades. The memory on your computer controls how many processes can run at one time. Think of memory as a shelf; the larger the shelf, the more things it can hold. By upgrading the memory, you are building a bigger shelf. The added slot on the Acer 5315 makes upgrading the memory a painless process.

Tips & Warnings
Purchase your memory card from a reputable dealer.
Take the laptop with you if purchasing the card from a store.
If you are buying online, verify that Aspire 5315 is listed as a model for that memory card. The card will list compatible computer models.
Memory cards are specific to models. One card may work for many different models but not all cards will work for any computer. Be sure what you are buying is the right memory card for your laptop.
