How to Email Microsoft to Report Spam E-mail
Spam and phishing e-mails are problems. They clog up inboxes and can be infected with malicious code that can harvest personal information (phishing e-mails) and wreak havoc on computer systems (virus and trojan e-mails).
Many businesses and Internet service providers provide contact forms or e-mail addresses to report spam. Microsoft maintains an updated list of scammers and spammers. Microsoft offers a web-based feedback system for reporting spam and phishing e-mails; or you can e-mail the company directly.

Check to see if the e-mail program you use has an automatic spam reporter. Some web-mail applications and e-mail programs have a built-in system for checking and marking mail as spam. Look under "Help" in the menu bar.

In Microsoft's Windows Live web-based e-mail client, click the box next to the malicious e-mail to place a check mark in it. In the menu above, click "Mark as." Select "Phishing Scam" in the menu.
