How Do I Get the Picture Off My Nextel Onto My Computer?

When transferring pictures from your Nextel phone onto your computer, you should keep in mind that pictures taken with a camera phone are of low resolution and will most likely not be suitable for printing at large sizes. Camera phone quality is certainly improving, but older phones will have a low resolution. Using the photos for web purposes should be just fine.

Instructions

1. Connect your Nextel phone to the computer via the USB cable provided with your phone.

2. Click on "My Computer" on the Start menu to see what letter drive your Nextel phone is. The screen will show the available drives and what devices they are attached to.

3. Double-click the drive that is attached to your Nextel phone.

4. Choose "Transfer Images" from the dialog box that pops up.

5. Select where you would like your images to be saved and click "OK." Any photographs that are on your Nextel phone should be in the indicated folder when the transfer is complete. The process may take a few minutes if you have many images on your phone.
