How Do I Add Minutes to an Alltel Prepaid Phone Online?

An Alltel prepaid phone allows you to add minutes to the phone when you need to. This means you aren't paying a monthly contract but instead buying the minutes as needed. Although you can add minutes to your account over the phone or in person at any Alltel location, you can also log onto your account online and add minutes to your phone. When doing so online, Alltel actually gives you additional minutes for free.

Instructions

1. Launch your Internet browser and navigate to the Alltel website. From here you can access the prepaid account page.

2. Select "Register Now" to enroll and create an online account. Type in your telephone number, area code included, into the provided space then click "Continue."

3. Select a username and password, then enter your email address and submit the information. You will automatically be logged into your new online account.

4. Select the amount of minutes you want to add to your phone then choose a payment method. Complete the payment prompts and submit your order. The additional minutes are now added to your prepaid Alltel phone. The payment methods are debit/credit or check. If paying by debit/credit, you need your card number and the CID (three digit number on the back for Visa/MasterCard or four digit number on the front of American Express). If paying by check, you need the bank and routing numbers found on the bottom of the check.
