How to Set Up a New Email Name
Setting up a new email name is possible for both individuals and businesses. Based on needs and budget, there are both free and paid email services.

First, choose whether you want a free webmail account or a paid, hosted email account.
Both email services allow you the basic features of an email address--the ability to send and receive emails, plus some security features. Hosted email accounts have additional features, including: email filters, anti-virus protection and Sender Policy Framework (SPF) protection tools, auto-responder emails, email forwarding, a mailing lists manager, and more.
For the basic email user, a free account will typically have many of the features a day-to-day user needs. Some free services even have some of the hosted service features; however, this varies from one provider to another.

Once you have selected an email host, set up the email account by filling out a registration form with your personal details and following the on-screen instructions.
You'll also be asked to choose your new email name and to set a password. While adhering to the password rules, it is also best to choose user names and passwords you can remember easily. Also, be sure to create a password that would be difficult for someone to guess. If you're using the new email name for business purposes, don't choose a silly or suggestive name.
Write down this information and keep it somewhere safe in case you forget. The information will be used to log into your new email account in the future.

Once you set up your new email account, you will have access to a webmail application, which allows you to use your new email service. Basic tools to manage your mailbox such as spam filters, trashcans, inbox and outbox are typical. You may now email your family, colleagues and friends your new email address.

Tips & Warnings
Beware of "phishing" sites which may attempt to steal your identity. Make sure you are familiar with the email service provider before giving up any personal information.
Sometimes, a certain username (email name) will already be taken. You will have to choose another one.
