How to Find a Person on Wow
Blizzard Entertainment's runaway success, World of Warcraft (WoW), boasts over 15 million players worldwide. With a player base that large, it can be difficult to find your friends in the game. Luckily, several ways are available to successfully find players in the online world.

Check to see if the person you are looking for is in a guild--a somewhat loose association of players who help each other overcome in-game obstacles. If the person you are looking for is not in a guild and you are, then ask him if he would be interested in joining your guild. If you are the one without a guild, you might consider joining the other player's guild. If neither you nor the player you are looking for are in a guild, then ask him if he would be interested in helping you form a new guild. Being in the same guild as a player is by far the best way to keep in touch and keep track of another player. Members of the same guild can see one another in-game and when they were last online just by highlighting the name of the desired person in the guild's roster.

2
Add the player to your friends list. Like the guild roster, your friends list will allow you to see where your friends are in-game, but it does not provide some of the other advantages as being in the same guild. Still, this is a popular option among players who are not in the same guild but still want to keep in touch.

Invite the player to a party. Party members are marked on your map as small gold circles. This is a good solution if you just need to find someone once but are not interested in keeping in touch. Once one of you leaves the party, you will no longer be able to track each other on the map.

Tips & Warnings
WoW is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game, meaning it is meant to be a social game. The game is best when enjoyed with others, so it is often a good idea to keep track of players.
