Make Candle Holders
-
1
Wrap one end of one of the wire pieces around the mouth of the mason jar, just below the protruding ring below the threads that anchor the lid. Use the pliers to twist the end of the wire together with the other (longer) end of the same wire to anchor it around the mason jar, making sure it's as tight against the jar as possible. There should be about 15 inches of wire protruding from the loop you made around the jar.
-
2
Repeat Step 1 with the other wire, making sure the protruding portion of this wire falls exactly opposite the one from the wire in Step 1.
-
-
3
String beads onto the wires, if desired, to embellish your candle hanger. Other possible embellishment include adding colored string, ribbon or feathers.
-
4
Bring the two trailing lengths of wire together above the jar and bend them into a nickle-sized (or larger) loop about 3 inches from the top. Twist the ends of the wires together with the main "stem" of the wires to close the loop. Use pliers to make sure the twists are as tight as possible. Clip any extra wire off with your wire cutters.

5
Decide where to hang your candle holders. They should hang out of traffic areas and should be as far away as possible from any potentially flammable material, like curtains and stacks of newspaper or books.
-
6
Locate a ceiling stud or beam, near where you'd like to hang the candles, by using an electronic stud finder.
-
7
Screw a sturdy ceiling hook into the ceiling. You should feel some resistance as the hook's screw threads move through the plaster and bite into the ceiling beam. If there is no resistance, back the screw-hook out and replace it with a ceiling hook that expands behind the ceiling panel when installed, having much the same effect as a drywall anchor.

Hang the candle holder by its loop from the ceiling hook.
