How to Post an Excel Spreadsheet on the Web
Microsoft Excel is an application commonly used to create and manipulate data in a spreadsheet format. Excel has a vast range of functions to manipulate, compute and sort data. Spreadsheets offer an excellent format for visual presentation. Sharing an Excel spreadsheet with users who do not have the Excel application can be accomplished by converting the spreadsheet to a Web page. After conversion to HTML the Web page can be hosted on an intranet or Internet Web server.

Open Microsoft Excel from the "Start" button on the Windows menu bar.

Create a new spreadsheet with the data you want to display as a Web page.

Click the button "Publish" and select "Entire Workbook" or "Selection:sheet" as the item to publish.

Using the button labeled "Browse," navigate to the location you where you want to save the Web page. Enter the file name to save the Web page in the file name text box.

Select the check box labeled "Open Web page in browser," then left click on the button labeled "Publish." The file will then save to your computer and open in your browser to verify it was correctly published as HTML.
