How to Change a Default Picture Viewer With Outlook

In an effort to expedite the opening of files when they are double-clicked, Windows has created a list of default programs that are to be used when opening specific file types. While this is typically a very useful feature, it can be somewhat inconvenient when someone needs to change the application that they want to use when opening a certain type of file. This is especially evident when double-clicking on attachments in Microsoft Outlook, as unfamiliar file types may be inadvertently opened with the wrong program, thereby making them difficult to open for all future attempts.
