Instructions

Avoid applying heat to your hair, as much as possible. Hair dryers, straightening irons and curling irons can damage your hair, making it less soft and shiny. Always let your hair air dry. Limit straightening and curling your hair with an iron to once a week.

Buy shampoo and conditioner that enhances the natural moisture content in your hair. For conditioner, check the consistency. Apply a small amount to your hand to make sure it is thick and creamy.

    • 3

Rub a small amount of olive oil all over your hands and then rub the palms of your hands over the bottom half of your hair. Apply to the ends, rather than near your scalp, or else your hair will look very oily. Do this once a week to make your hair softer and silkier.

Apply a moisture mask to your hair once a month. Mash an avocado and spread it over your hair. Leave on for half an hour and then rinse. Wash and condition as you normally would. The natural fats in avocados make hair shiny and very soft.

Avoid washing your hair every day. Rather, wash it every other day or every two days. Washing your hair every day depletes your scalp of its natural oils, thus making your hair more dry and less shiny.

Tips & Warnings

  • Trim split ends every couple of months to keep your hair looking neat.

  • Brushing your hair while wet can cause breakage, so only use a comb when your hair is wet.
