How to Convert Coaxial Cable Input to RCA Output

A coaxial cable is a single cable that usually provides both the audio and video connection between electronic devices such as televisions, DVD players and VCRs. RCA connections can also send the audio and video signal, however, the connection uses three cables: a yellow cable sends video, and red and white cables handle audio. If you want to output the content of a device using RCA cables and put it into a coaxial cable input, you need a converter.

Instructions

1. Plug the three RCA cables into the output connection on the device you want to send the audio and video out from.

2. Insert the RCA cables into the RCA ports on the converter box. The converter box can take the signal from RCA cables and adjust it so a single coaxial cable can take the audio and video and import it into a device such as a television.

3. Connect the coaxial cable into the coaxial cable port on the converter. Make sure the cable screws on completely.

4. Plug the other end of the coaxial cable into the coaxial cable "In" port on the back of the audio/video device.
