How to Host a Video Conference
Web conferences enable you to have meetings with colleagues who work remotely. As opposed to conference calls that only let you hear the voice of the person on the other line, web conferences enable you to see your colleague live on the computer screen, allowing you to have a more interactive meeting. Web conferences can also be used for training, online events and customer support. It is also a versatile way to hold a meeting since you meet virtually, which means no program installation is required.

1
Organize the web conference meeting. In order for you to have a successful web conference, participants must have a set schedule of when to join the web call. Setting the schedule first will allow you to get a head count and give you time to obtain attendee responses.

2
Find the web conference company that fits your needs. There's a lot of web conferencing services out there from companies such as Webex, Wengo Meeting and Mega Meeting. Each of these services are different, so it's best that you know how many participants are going to be in the meeting. For example, Mega Meeting offers 16 live video screens, while Webex offers 25.

Sign up for an account with a web conference host. The great thing about web conferences is the software is on the web, so there is no need to install a program in your computer. This also makes it easier for your participants to join since they don't have to install programs and deal with technical compatibility issues.
-
4
Check if all of your participants have the proper equipment. Although the meeting is web-based, they still need to have a computer and a webcam to participate fully in the web conference.
-
5
Utilize all the functions of the web conference application. Since you are hosting this meeting, make sure that you use the resources available to you to send your message or agenda across. In a web conference meeting, you can chat, present files using office programs and even send files to your meeting participants.
