One of the many things that Tivo does is keep a record of your viewing history. Filed under the "To Do List" option you will find the status of past and present shows. Tivo will tell you why a particular show on your season pass list wasn't recorded, won't be recorded or why it was deleted. Tivo will store this information for approximately two weeks. For whatever the reason, you may find that you need to delete your viewing history. Unfortunately, the only way to do this is to reset your entire system.
Things You'll Need
- Tivo remote
Click on the Tivo icon on the top of your remote. This will bring up Tivo Central.
Scroll down to "Find Programs" and press the "select" button on your remote.
Scroll down to "Season Pass Manager" and press the "select" button on your remote.
Write down all of the shows that you have set up for a season pass. Write them in order so that you can reenter the information in the same way as you had it before.
Press the Tivo icon at the top of your remote and scroll down to "Messages & Settings." Press "select" on your remote.
Scroll down to "Restart of Reset System" and press "select" on your Tivo remote.
Scroll down to "Clear & delete everything" and press "select" on your remote. Confirm that you want to complete this action. This will reset your Tivo, erasing all data, including your viewing history.
Tips & Warnings
- Once your Tivo restarts, you will need to reconfigure your settings to include the shows you would like a season pass for.
- Resetting your system will erase all of the information stored on your Tivo.
