How to Transfer a Contact List From a PC to an iPod

If you own an iPod Touch, Classic or Nano and use a PC running the Windows operating system (Windows XP or later), you can sync data between your iPod and computer with iTunes. When configuring your syncing options, you will be given the option of enabling contact syncing on your iPod. The iTunes program can transfer lists of contacts to your iPod from either Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express or Address Book.

      Open the iTunes application on your PC.

      Connect your iPod Touch, Classic or Nano to your computer using the iPod USB cable.

      Click on the iPod symbol underneath the "Devices" heading.

      Go to the "Contacts" tab at the top of the iPod configuration page.

      Check the box next to "Synchronize contacts."

      Use the drop-down menu to select which program iTunes should synchronize contact lists with. You can choose from Outlook, Outlook Express or Address Book.

      Hit the "Apply" button to save the configuration, sync your iPod and transfer your contact lists.
