How to Fold a Bathrobe

- Bathrobe
- Bathrobe sash
- Stalk of wheat
- Stalk of decorative grass
- Large square of cardboard (optional)

Remove the sash or belt from the bathrobe and set it aside. Lay the clean or new robe on a flat surface like a bed or table. The back should be facing you and the opening should be facing the flat surface.

Fold the left arm of the robe about four inches from the shoulder seam. Fold the robe and let the arm dangle straight down smoothly against the back of the robe. Do the same thing with the right arm of the robe. Fold it back and down about four inches from the shoulder seam. Smooth the robe out.

Fold the bottom hem of the robe up with both hands about one quarter of the way. Smooth the folded robe. If your robe is silky or made of flimsy, lightweight material, use a cardboard square to keep the folded shape. Cut the square to hide neatly inside the robe folds.

Fold the robe up again another fourth. Stop and smooth the robe. Fold the robe once again and smooth it.

Lay the sash on the back of the robe. Center the sash over the robe. Use both hands to carefully turn the robe over. Straighten the robe to keep it neatly folded. Pull the two ends of the sash together and make a pretty knot or a neat bow.

Tips & Warnings
Add a decorative shaft of wheat or some type of decorative grass to the sash band. For a nice smell put a small sandalwood soap in the sash too.
