How to Make Your Own Fire Badge Pattern
If your child dreams of growing up to be a firefighter, then consider making a firefighter-friendly pattern. Your child can use this template to make his or her own custom fire badge. After your child decorates the badge, you can attach it to a pin clasp for her to wear on her shirt or jacket. Let your child use creativity, and reach outside the bounds of what a real badge looks like. Just keep the shape and general design the same.

1
Go online and print out a fire badge. You can access a template example, as well as an image of a real "fire badge", to get an idea of the look and shape. After printing, cut out the badge with a pair of scissors.

2
Flatten an empty cereal box and turn it inside out. You need a sturdy backing for your fire badge so that it holds up as your child wears it throughout the day. Place your paper template on the inside of the flattened box, and trace it with a pencil. Cut it out with a pair of scissors.
