Things You'll Need
- 2 spray bottles
- White vinegar
- Water
- Baking soda
- Toilet brush
- Paper towel

Fill one of the spray bottles with undiluted white vinegar and the other bottle with a half-and-half mix of vinegar and water. Label each bottle to indicate the contents.

Sprinkle baking soda into the toilet bowl. Baking soda acts as a mild abrasive that will not scratch the interior of the bowl.

Spray with the undiluted vinegar. The vinegar may react with the baking soda to create a foaming action. Vinegar's mild acidity cuts through dirt and hard water stains.

Let the baking soda and vinegar mixture stand in the bowl for a few minutes or as long as overnight, depending on the level of dirt and stains in the bowl.
