How to Make a Beach Cover-up

There are many types of beach cover-ups. The most popular and easy to make beach cover-up is a sarong. The sarong-style beach cover-up is worn all over the United States and popular with many celebrities. According to the experts at Altered Cloth, you can make a no-sew Sarong in a few small steps.

Things You'll Need

• 2-3 yards of cotton voile fabric 45 cm wide
• Seam ripper

Instructions

The Process

1. Select the color of cotton voile fabric you would like your sarong to be made of.

2. Take your seam ripper and start removing thread from both short edges of the fabric.

3. Unravel the fabric until you create 3-4 inches of fringe on each side.

4. For added decoration, you can seperate your fringe into sections 1/4 inch wide.

5. Knot each of the the sections together. This will create a wider fringe.
