How to Get Wireless Internet on an iPod Touch

To do any downloads on the iPod Touch while you are away from the computer you must be in a Wi-Fi network with your iPod Touch.       Choose "Settings" on the iPod Touch screen.

      Select "Wi-Fi" and choose to turn the Wi-Fi on.

      Go back to "Settings" and "Wi-Fi." The iPod Touch will automatically start trying to detect a Wi-Fi network you are in range of.

      Select a network. Some networks are secure and require a password. Some networks may require fees. Once you are connected to a network, the blue Wi-Fi icon will appear at the top of your home screen.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can see the connection strength next to the Wi-Fi icon on the home screen. The more bars there are, the better the connection.
