Instructions

    • 1

Read your monitor's user manual beforehand to understand the capabilities of your LCD display. Before you calibrate, you want your monitor set to the default settings, since most of the calibration is done using your PC.

    • 2

Power on your PC and monitor and make sure they're properly connected. When Windows boots up, you can begin calibration.

    • 3

Access the display options menu by clicking the Start button on the taskbar and going to the Control Panel. Type "color calibration" in the search bar and press Enter to go directly to the color calibration Wizard, or type "display" to go to the general display options. You can access the color calibration Wizard from the Display menu.

    • 4

Click "Change display settings" to adjust your screen's resolution (the higher, the better). Optimize the color scheme and refresh rate by clicking "Advanced settings" on the same menu, going to the Monitor tab, and changing them to the highest setting.

Click the Color Management tab and select "Color Management..." to bring up the Color Management menu. Click the Advanced tab and then click "Calibrate Display" to start the color calibration Wizard. You can also access this option from the Display menu.

Follow the instructions provided by the color calibration program to optimize your display color. After this, your monitor is calibrated. If still not satisfied, adjust the settings manually on your monitor according to the monitor's user manual.
