Instructions

    • 1

If you have any nail polish remnants on your toe nails, remove them completely with nail polish remover and a cotton pad. Rub nails in circular motions until you have removed the color.

    • 2

Clean and trim your toe nails, if necessary. Trim them with a nail cutter and smooth out any sharp or uneven edges with a nail file. Try to cut them as symmetrically as possible. Push down all of your cuticles.

    • 3

Put a piece of invisible tape on each nail. This will mark off the part of the nail that you will be painting white (i.e. the tops of each toe nail). You will want to put a piece of invisible tape about one-quarter of the way down each nail (horizontally). Make the line as straight as possible.

    • 4

Paint the part of the nail you marked off with tape. Apply your first coat evenly, in one stroke. Instead of a thick coat, apply two or three thin coats. This will keep the nail polish level and neat. Allow each coat to dry before doing the next one.

    • 5

Once you have finished all of the white nail polish coats, allow all of your nails to dry.

    • 6

      Peel off the invisible tape.

    • 7

Fix any unsatisfactory lines. If you need to re-do any nails, use nail polish remover on a cotton pad and attempt steps 2 to 5 again.

    • 8

Apply a top coat. Generally, you should use a light, peachy or pinkish-beige, translucent nail polish for this step. The lighter the color, the cleaner your nails appear. Apply this color all over each nail in careful, thin coats. After that coat has dried, apply a second coat.

    • 9

Allow all toe nails to dry fully.

    • 10

Apply a top coat of clear nail polish to seal in your pedicure and make it shine. Allow it to dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • Trim your toe nails neatly when they begin to grow out and your pedicure will continue to look presentable.

  • You can experiment with different colors for equally professional looking nails (e.g. pink tips instead of white).

  • Do your pedicure in in a well-ventilated area because of the chemicals in nail polish and nail polish remover.

  • When using nail polish, ensure that the nail polish brush is not overly saturated, to avoid uneven color and messiness.
