How to Fix a PC Time Clock
If your email appointments and emails have the wrong time on them, chances are good that the clock on your computer is set incorrectly. If the date and time are wrong, you may notice a number of problems, including the wrong date stamp on your documents and the inability to search for documents by date. Changing the time clock on your computer is not difficult, but it is important to follow the proper procedures.

Right-click on the time at the lower right-hand corner of your computer screen. Choose "Adjust Date/Time" from the menu.

Change the date and time on your computer to the current date and time.

Click on the "Time Zone" tab and make sure the time zone shown there is correct. If your state participates in daylight-saving time, be sure the appropriate box is checked.

Click "OK" to close the window. You will see the date and time on your PC change. If you notice that the time is off again, the battery inside your computer case may be going bad. There is a small battery inside your computer, about the size of a watch battery, and when that battery fails the computer will not be able to retain its time and date settings.
