Things You'll Need

  • First, you will need to tape off surrounding walls and cabinets to prevent getting paint on these surfaces. Use a sturdy stepladder to reach molding around the ceiling.

  • Next, you will need to prime the moldings and trim with Kilz. Apply a thin coat and allow to dry for 30 minutes. Apply a second coat and allow to dry for 1 hour.
