Locate a product that is designed to color men's facial hair. These include Just for Men Brush-In Color Gel and Clairol Natural Instincts Hair Color for Men. Do not purchase products that are strictly for dyeing men's head hair; they are not formulated for facial hair.

Choose your color.

Follow the instructions on the hair dye product to perform a test to determine whether you are sensitive to the ingredients. Apply a small amount of the product to the inside of your arm, near your elbow and wait approximately 48 hours to see if you have an allergic reaction. If you do, don't use the product.

Mix small, equal amounts of the color and the developer in the tray provided. Save the rest of the color and developer for future applications.

Apply the facial hair color to your beard with the included applicator. Follow the product instructions for application to cover the hair completely.

Allow the facial hair dye to remain on your beard for the time recommended in the product instructions. Wash the dye out of your beard, then dry it.

Tips & Warnings
Wear clothing that you don't mind getting stained by hair dye, or cover your shirt with an old towel.
Immediately wipe away any dye that gets on your skin with a damp cotton swab.
