How to Make a Chocolate Martini With Vodka

If you are hosting a cocktail party and looking for an elegant, decadent drink to serve, chocolate vodka martinis could be just the ticket. While numerous varieties of chocolate martinis exist, the basic recipe remains the same. Working from the basic recipe, you can get creative with the flavors and additional flourishes, such as adding half-and-half cream or a chocolate stick as a garnish. Serve them in chilled martini glasses to make them even more delicious.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. creme de cocoa
  • 1 tbsp. chocolate syrup
  • Ice
  • Cocktail shaker with strainer
  • Martini glasses
  • Chocolate stick or cherry (optional)

Instructions

    • 1

Fill the shaker with ice cubes.

    • 2

Add the vodka, creme de cocoa and chocolate syrup -- if desired -- to the shaker.

    • 3

Shake the drink thoroughly, holding on to the lid as you do so.

    • 4

Strain the drink as you pour it into a chilled martini glass.

    • 5

Garnish the martini with a stick of chocolate candy or a cherry, if desired.
