Instructions

  1. Clean Your Player

    • 1

Purchase a Blu-Ray lens cleaning disk kit. These can be found in most major electronics stores, as well as most big-box retail stores.

    • 2

Turn on both your television and your Blu-Ray player. Insert the cleaning disc into the disc tray of your Blu-Ray player, as if you were inserting a movie. A series of prompts will appear on your screen. Follow them using your remote control.

    • 3

Eject the cleaning disk when the onscreen prompt tells you that the cleaning process is complete. Cleaning time should only be about a minute.

    • 4

Wipe down the Blu-Ray player's casing using a lint-free cleaning rag. Always dry-dust your Blu-Ray player, as water can damage the unit. Rub gently, as the player is delicate and can be damaged.

    • 5

Unscrew the casing, using your screwdriver, to access the internal components. You should only do this as a last resort cleaning effort, and only if you know what you are doing. Delicately clean the inside components of the player with your dust rag. Wipe gently, and return the casing to its original position.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure the cleaning disc you get is for Blu-Ray players. Do not use DVD disc cleaners, as their method of cleaning can scratch and damage your Blu-Ray player's lens.
