2. Listen to the menu. Speak clearly and say, “Change my phone number.” Enter your Virgin Mobile cell phone number. According to Virgin Mobile customer service, if your account is in good standing, you will be able to change your number for free with Alex. Otherwise, hold to be directed to a live customer service adviser.

3. Verify your account information with the live representative. Tell the associate that you wish to change your number. Switching your mobile number with a live representative costs $10. If you don’t have that amount on your account, add funds to your cash balance with a credit or debit card.
