You can change your Virgin Mobile cell phone number.

Virgin Mobile provides flexible cell phone plans for consumers who want to avoid annual contracts and extra fees. The brand began in the United Kingdom in 1999 and made its way to the United States in 2002. Although the plans offer you convenience and low monthly bills, you may have been assigned a number that previously belonged to someone else. Receiving calls from another person’s friends is irritating, but you have the option of changing to a new Virgin Mobile cell phone number.

Instructions

Verify your account information with the live representative. Tell the associate that you wish to change your number. Switching your mobile number with a live representative costs $10. If you don’t have that amount on your account, add funds to your cash balance with a credit or debit card. According to Virgin Mobile customer service, your new number will be effective three to five minutes after you request the change and pay any necessary fees.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have Internet access, you can also change your Virgin Mobile number online. There is no fee.
