How to Download Quickbooks

QuickBooks is an accounting software created by Intuit. QuickBooks keeps track of a small company's financial information such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, expenses, and other accounting aspects. The software can also be used to manage payroll, and create and print paychecks to employees. QuickBooks is available to download online directly from the Intuit website.

Instructions

1. Navigate to http://quickbooks.intuit.com in your Internet browser. Locate the section that says "Easily Manage Your Business" with a blue button underneath that says "Learn More." Click the button. Choose the version of QuickBooks that you will need for your business. You can have up to three people simultaneously accessing a file at any given time. When you have decided on the number of users, click "Add to Cart."

2. Review the next page if you want to add Enhanced Payroll to your QuickBooks download. This is just a promotional item, so you do not have to buy it. Click "No Thanks" if you do not wish to buy it.

3. Review your Shopping Cart summary and if you want to add anything else to your order, click "Continue Shopping." If not, click "Checkout."

4. Fill out the next page with your account information. The items marked with blue asterisks are required. Click "Continue Checkout" when you are finished.

5. Fill out your billing information on the next page. Intuit accepts all major credit cards. When you have double-checked your information and made sure it matches your card, click "Continue Checkout." Review the information on the next page and make any changes necessary. Submit your information when you are ready.

6. Click the link on the "Thank You" page to begin downloading the file. When the window pops up, choose "Save" to save the file. Wait for the file to download. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection and computer, it may take about an hour. Once the file has been downloaded, double click to open the application and begin the installation process. Follow the on-screen prompts to install your program.

Tips & Warnings

• Consider saving the downloaded file to your desktop for easy access.

• Do not download free, pirated versions of this software. It illegal and dangerous to your computer because it may contain viruses.
